Sammler, bioacoustic sensing device

Environmental protection needs reliable data. Especially in remote areas of the world that are difficult to access. SAMMLER enables cooperation between science and volunteering to collect data on biodiversity that cannot be captured by satellite images. The bioacoustic sensor measures sound waves and uses software-based analysis to provide information on illegal hunting, tree felling and species populations. Volunteers can attach the sensor to their outdoor equipment or stationary in nature via a multifunctional mount made of laser-cut spring steel, collect additional sensors and maintain them by transferring data and changing batteries. SAMMLER was developed in cooperation with citizen science organizations.
